The Wirrabirra Experience

Welcome to Wirrabirra Childcare & Early Learning Centre. Our passionate educators are committed to providing a stimulating and nurturing environment where children can develop their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills.

At Wirrabirra, we understand that every child is unique. Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child, with our educators assessing their knowledge, strengths, abilities, interests, and culture. This allows us to create age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences. Our team is well-versed in the Early Years Learning Framework and child development theories, ensuring programs incorporate play-based learning, intentional teaching, group and individual activities, and self-directed play.

Age groupings at Wirrabirra

In line with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards (NQS) Element 1.3.1, we assess each child’s learning and development through an ongoing cycle of observation, analysis, implementation, and reflection. Educators regularly observe children during play to monitor their progress and set meaningful learning goals tailored to their individual needs.

Preparing for School

We offer a specialized pre-kindy program led by a qualified teacher, focusing on developing independence and school readiness. Through a mix of play and structured activities, children build essential literacy and numeracy skills, setting the foundation for success in school and beyond. Our program also includes STEM learning opportunities, where children explore science, geography, mathematics, nature, and sustainability.

Each day, children engage in a variety of enriching educational programs designed to promote their growth and development. Our activities, inspired by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the WA Kindy curriculum, include outdoor play, arts and crafts, cooking, and more. These experiences help foster creativity, independence, and social skills.

In addition, we provide exciting incursions and excursions, ensuring that your child’s learning is always engaging and fun.
