Management of the Centre

Our parent Management Committee and Centre Manager work alongside each other making decisions that affect and guide the operation, growth and community spirit of the service. These roles are to support the centre, its staff and families, with the common goal of all members being the wellbeing of all the children, families and staff.

Committee Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month, where the committee discuss any arising issues and to plan for the future. The Management Committee and Manager drive the changes and set strategic ongoing goals for the service. The advantages of having a management committee is that community-based childcare centres provide parents and families a voice on what matters within the service and the wider community.

Parent / Guardian Participation

Parents / Guardians are not only our biggest support but part of the driving forces of the service. Your engagement in whatever form you can offer is what makes for the community minded spirit of the service. You can attend educator and parent evenings, collect resources that children can use throughout the centre, or help with fundraising. As a community-based service, we encourage you to become involved with the centre. Your knowledge, ideas and suggestions are valuable and most welcome. We are always happy to have people come into the centre. We value the gifts and talents of each other and love when you share interesting new ways of being and doing, such as singing, teaching, making, building or sharing. We especially love activities of a multi-cultural nature.

To help provide your child/ren with the best opportunity to develop, we ask that parents / guardians work hand in hand with your child’s Educator and discuss your joys, problems, concerns and feelings you may be experiencing. There is also a suggestion box located in the foyer where you can provide feedback on our services, contribute to our Continuous Improvement Plan, or even just share your favourite family recipe.
